David Skrela kicked 27 points to give Toulouse a comfortable 42-16 home win over Stade Francais, while All Black legend Doug Howlett scored twice for Munster as they paid Saints back for their pool defeat at Franklin's Gardens. Jamie Heaslip scored two tries, and Jonny Sexton kicked 19 points, as Leinster squeezed past ASM Clermont Auvergne 29-28 in Dublin and an amazing try from USA's Taku Ngwenya enabled Biarritz to beat the Ospreys 29-28 in another epic in San Sebastien.
The semi-final draw meant Stade de France could host an all-French or all-Irish final on Saturday, 22 May, as Toulouse hosted Leinster and Biarritz entertained Munster. In the end it was an all-French affair as Guy Noves took his team to a sixth final . . . and a record breaking fourth win.
TOULOUSE couldn't score a try in the final, but with David Skrela on target with three penalties and two drop goals to finally claim a Heineken Cup winners' medal at his third attempt with a third different club. Skrela would go to play in a fourth final for a fourth different club when he featured off the bench in ASM Clermont Auvergne's defeat by Toulon in 2013.
